Olney history includes the period in the late 18th century when the poet William Cowper came to live here by invitation of the then curate the Reverend John Newton. In collaboration they wrote the Olney Hymns, the most famous being "Amazing Grace" and Cowper completed many famous literary works including "The Task" and "John Gilpin"

The Lindens Guest House, formerly the home of the Brewers, the Hipwell family has been superbly modernized and converted into a very pleasant and comfortable 4 bedroomed accommodation with the extra facility of a self contained garden suite in the large and attractive gardens.

The Lindens has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard to offer all the facilities expected of a modern day guest house yet it retains many of the characters of it's Victorian heritage.

All rooms are comfortably furnished, ensuring an enjoyable stay for our visitors. This fine staircase leads to all the bedrooms.

All our guests can take full advantage of our extensive gardens, especially enjoyable during the summer months. Please note that private, off road parking can be arranged.
